A Compendium of Snowflaking Blogs
I am participating in Free Money Finance’s March Madness competition, which is a friendly competition to determine the best personal finance post of 2007. I entered Snowflaking: A Primer, and it won its first round last week.
Free Money Finance has now posted the start of Round 2 of March Madness, and my post is up against No Credit Needed’s Illustrated Debt Snowball! That’s a great post and tough competition - the snowflake against the snowball…
Help spread the love and awareness of snowflaking everywhere and head on over the Free Money Finance and vote for the snowflake by leaving a comment. You know you want to… wouldn’t it be great if snowflaking was recognized as the best post of all 2007? Game 1: Snowflake! Hurrah!
Don’t delay, vote today! ![]()
I have changed the blogroll slightly for the time being. For some reason, Blogrolling, the service that administers the blogroll, did not detect when some of the members updated their sites (but did others). So some of the members were always at the bottom of the blogroll. That’s not very fair, so I’ve set the blogroll to populate the list in a random order every time it is reloaded. If I can figure out the problems with the update issue and fix it, I will go back to that method but for now, it will just be random.
On the topic of the blogroll, if you have chosen to put that on your site, I have inserted a link within the blogroll (and marked it with ***) inviting people to join the revolution, so no other link to the Snowflake Revolution is needed as an add-on. This hopefully will make things easier for everyone!
If you’ve chosen to display the badge instead, please have it point to the Join page. If you need help doing that, let me know. I would prefer that members upload the badge to their own server to display so that it is not using the Revolution’s bandwidth, but if for some reason you can’t do that, let me know and you can display the one from this server.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me: join at snowflakerevolution dot com. I will be emailing all the members in the next week or so as well just to check in and welcome everyone personally. If you haven’t yet joined the revolution, and you are a snowflaker, what are you waiting for? Join today!
Come back tomorrow for a way you can help publicize snowflaking with just one little vote… ![]()
We now have 37 members of the Snowflake Revolution (and counting!) and have been popping up all over the personal finance blogosphere and beyond! Thanks for joining and congratulations on becoming a snowflaker.
If you are visiting for the first time and haven’t joined yet, but blog about snowflaking, make sure to click on the join link and become a part of the revolution. If you already have joined, thanks! Make sure to add either the badge from the right-hand column here or the snowflaking blogroll to your website to help spread the word and publicize the movement. The code for the blogroll can be found on the join page.
Also, if you have some snowflaking posts that you would like to be a part of the snowflaking resources page that I am working on for this site, please email them to join@snowflakerevolution.com - many people sent snowflake links to me when they joined, but if you did not it is not too late!
Thanks again for being part of the revolution and keep watch on this page (you can subscribe to the RSS feed to get the updates) for more information and future snowflaking posts! Vive la Revolution!
Ever since I started talking about the concept of snowflaking on my main blog, I’ve Paid For This Twice Already…, I’ve seen more and more people either adopting the concept for themselves or realizing they’ve already been doing it without having a name for it. So I decided to create a central location where I could gather links to all the different snowflakers out there.
This project is still in its infancy. Right now, there is a blogroll you can join by filling out the contact form here and as time goes on, I will be featuring snowflaking information and posts here from my blog as well as member blogs, and also starting a RSS Feed Network comprised of member blogs. In fact, there may even be a Snowflaking Carnival in the future.
Join the Revolution today, and become a part of the snowflaking movement. We’re growing!
